Jussi Makkonen

Teaching

Jussi Makkonen has acted as a cello teacher since 1996. He was asked to begin teaching in the Institute of Music of North Helsinki in 2003. At the moment Jussi’s cello pupils are of 18 different ages. Respecting the pupil as an individual, positive attitude and encouragement of pupils is characteristic of Jussi.

Jussi has done pedagogical studies of an instrument teacher at University of Helsinki in 2004, which are required for the current qualification of a lecturer. His research was about what is good leadership in the eyes of the students of the Sibelius Academy.
