Näiden juhlavuosien tiimoilta Makkosen tavoitteena on saavuttaa suomalaisella musiikilla ja niihin liittyvillä tarinoilla noin 500 000 lasta eri puolilla Suomea.

Sellisti Jussi Makkonen konsertoi lokakuussa Yhdysvalloissa ja Kanadassa yhdessä Sibeliuksen sukulaisen, pianisti Ruusamari Tepon kanssa. Ruusamari tekee parhaillaan tohtorintutkintoaan Dallasissa, aiheenaan Sibeliuksen orkesterimusiikin vaikutus pianosävellyksissään.

Jussi ja Ruusamari konsertoivat Seattlessa, Tacomassa, Vancouverissa ja Lyndenissä. Yhdysvalloissa tullaan näkemään ensiesitys Sibeliuksen Myrsky -sarjasta sello-piano -kokoonpanolla esitettynä.

Baritoni Jorma Hynninen on suomalaisen laulutaiteen mestari yli 40-vuotisella kansainvälisellä esiintymiskokemuksella. 12.7.2013 hänet nähdään tulkitsemassa Merikannon, Kuulan ja Sibeliuksen lauluja Jyväskylän Kesä -festivaaleilla. Konsertissa häntä säestävät Jussi Makkonen (sello), Lily-Marlene Puusepp (harppu)  ja Liisa Makkonen (viulu).
